Quantum Leap owner

During my bike ride today I wondered what ever happened to Peter Britton, the owner of Quantum Leap in Rochester.  Bought a Miatral pan am,diamond head and hookipa from him.back in 1983!

My first board was Mistral also I had a Maui second board was also a Diamond Head. They both got me to where I am today. An answer to your question about Peter Britton “where is he today?” He sold the shop to Dan Scorza in the 90’s and went to work for Xerox.

I’ve seen him 3 times in the last 2 weeks I’ve come to find out he has moved just one street from me and yesterday he was out for a walk with his wife and I waved as he went by my house. He still sails from time to time. However more importantly he went to Hatteras for a long weekend with a bunch of other Rochester windsurfers last month to take kite boarding lessons.

Thanks Rick.that 87 liter your jumping in that pic was a great board.had a red 73 for a high wind board also naish shapes with the mistral logo  great sticks in there day.tell Pete hi next time you see him.
