Yeah, the parking lot is closed at Gallagher Beach for social distancing. We have been parking on the street, but it’s a little dangerous with the traffic zooming by. Be careful! You could park in the big lot on the other side of the park, but you would need wheels to transport your gear that far.

Geoff, Before I make a long drive I’m wondering how the parking situation was on the visitor center side of the lake given the holiday weekend and social distancing? Did they limit any parking? Thanks!

Great time at Seneca Lake on Wednesday. Got to ride 3.3m while Lisa was on 2.9m. Some great swell, and jibes really felt good. Was about 54 degrees and the sun even came out a bit. Might be the last session of the season for me.

Lisa took the video. She did a great job. Most pictures and videos never really show what it actually feels like out there, but this video gives a real sense of it. 50mph is a lot of wind.

Fantastic! I was disappointed that my schedule would not allow me to sail with you guys at Seneca that day, but I was stoked to hear from several guys who said it was a great session. I thought your jibe was pretty damn good given that, at the time I was recording, the wind was blowing over 30mph and you were on a 5.2m. Good job managing the power to complete the jibe.

Great post! Friday was incredible. The forecast looked EPIC, so Lisa and I left Buffalo around 3:30pm instead of going to Canada which is a much shorter drive for us. I loved reading your story. Last time I sailed at Durand (June 30) Scott blasted upwind to that pier on his 6.5m and Goya Bolt. I actually got some video and pics of him that day right near the pier.
